Start Planning Your 4th of July Now: The 250th Is Coming
By Kristian Henson

The 250th is not a normal Fourth of July.
This year will be bigger. More people. More demand. More sellouts.
If you wait until late June, you will have fewer options and higher stress. April is when smart buyers start.
What to do right now
1. Start building your show early
You do not need to buy everything today. Start with your core items:
- A strong finale cake
- A few mid-sized fillers
- One or two crowd favorites
Each week, add a little more. This spreads out your cost and locks in inventory before it is gone.
2. Learn your brands
Not all fireworks are the same. Each brand has a style:
- Red Lantern: bold color, classic effects, reliable performance
- Miracle: unique breaks, variety, creative effects
- Winda: Amazing Color and effects usually with a slightly quicker pace
- Happy Family: Big burst lots of glitter
Trying different brands now helps you build a better show later.
3. Use rewards while it is slow
Off-season is the easiest time to stack points and use rewards without fighting crowds.
If you are already shopping, make it count.
4. Take a safety class if you want to level up
If you plan to run a bigger show this year, now is the time to learn:
- Proper setup
- Firing techniques
- Safety spacing
You will be more confident and your show will run smoother.
5. Expect inventory to move fast this year
This is the biggest season in years. Containers are arriving now, but that product will not sit long.
Early shoppers get:
- Better selection
- Better pricing
- Less stress
Bottom line
If you want a great show for the 250th, do not wait until summer. Start now, build over time, and lock in what you want before it is gone.
