How to Plan the Ultimate Backyard Fireworks Show for the 4th of July
By Kristian Henson

Independence Day is coming fast—and there’s no better way to celebrate than with your own backyard fireworks show! At Super Show Fireworks, we’re here to help you build a display that’s exciting, safe, and unforgettable.
🎆 Step 1: Set the Scene
Pick a safe location—open, flat, and free of overhead obstacles like trees or wires. Make sure you have enough distance from your audience (at least 100 feet) and always follow local laws and safety guidelines.
💥 Step 2: Build a Balanced Show
Think of your fireworks show like a great concert:
-
Opening Act: Use fountains, roman candles, and small multi-shots to build excitement.
-
Main Performance: Mix in medium-to-large 200g and 500g cakes for variety and color, and add in artillery to help with your duration.
-
Grand Finale: End strong with your biggest, loudest fireworks—launch several in quick succession or layer multiple 500g cakes for an epic finish.
